This past December I had the chance to bring Sweet Magic Photo Booth back to one of my favourite party spots in the GTA, EZone in Etobicoke. If you have never been, picture a giant playground for both adults and kids: Whirlyball courts, laser tag, arcades, sports courts, basically fun exploding from every direction. It was the perfect place for Zoe’s Bat Mitzvah, and I was lucky enough to be a part of it.
High Energy Entertainment
This was actually my second event at EZone, so walking in felt like returning to familiar home turf. I already knew where the best spot for the booth was, where the traffic flow would come from, and how to set things up so guests could jump in without missing any action on the court or dance floor.
We were booked for a four hour event, and with more than 120 guests, a mix of excitable kids and equally excited parents, we knew we were in for a lively night. I brought one of my amazing attendants with me, and I was also onsite myself (one of the perks of owning the business, you still get to be part of the fun).
A Unique Photo Booth Experience
Zoe chose a neon theme, and honestly, it did not take long before the whole space felt like it was glowing. To match the vibe, we customized our Mirror Air booth with neon animations, bright colours and an energetic overlay design that looked fantastic with every picture. The booth always gets attention, but that night it felt like it belonged at the centre of the party.
We set up a prop table loaded with goodies such as funky glasses, colourful hats, boas, themed signs and all the usual favourites that encourage guests to get silly. Kids were grabbing props faster than we could straighten them, which is exactly how I like it. We also offered digital drawing and emojis right on the mirror, and I have to say that nothing encourages creativity like a group of twelve year olds armed with virtual neon markers.
Every single photo was printed on glossy keepsake paper, and guests also received digital copies by text so they could share online or send to friends before they even left the building.
A Special Gift For Zoe
By the end of the night everyone was smiling, parents were thanking us and Zoe had a whole stack of photos with friends and family to mark her big milestone. We packed up exhausted, happy and already hoping for round three at EZone soon.
Nights like this remind me why I love what I do because a photo may only take a second, but the memory of the experience lasts much longer.
